HCBC family & friends,
On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.
Under the direction of President Trump, together with much prayer & deliberation, the Deacons & myself have determined that it is prudent to postpone all HCBC gatherings effective now through April 6th. This decision was made with full faith that the LORD is firmly in control & will direct our steps according to His plan & wisdom. The situation is still fluid, so please look for updates regarding HCBC gatherings. We anticipate that COVID-19 may affect gatherings for some time. As much as ever, we hold steadfastly & confidently to our hope in Him. What a blessing that our hope in Christ is—the anchor for our soul in uncertain times!
During this season of challenge, we must continue praying. The prayer chain email is still up & going. If you have a request, please email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like myself or a member of the Deacon Board to contact you or pray with you, please reach out to us. (contact info below)
Seek opportunities to pray with & encourage one another. Remember that the church building is always open for you to find quiet space with the LORD, pray with a friend or loved one, or even check out a book or dvd from the church library.
I will continue to teach through the book of Titus. Messages will be recorded on Saturday & posted by Sunday morning on the sermons page of the website (link below), and available via podcast Please continue in a habit of worship, prayer, & Bible instruction that you may grow in Christ-likeness & be equipped to be His ambassador to others in your life.
Online giving has been set up so you can continue the giving of your tithes & offerings. That link is at the bottom of this page.
You, Church, know how to trust the LORD & rest in His wisdom & strength. You know your hope is in Him. You know what is godly, loving, & just. Continue in these things & spur one another on. When we’ve passed through this valley, may we all be stronger in Him for it! We will praise Him now & praise Him then!
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Sincerely & Securely in Christ,
